Joseph E. Parrish is a civil litigation attorney based in Brandon, Florida, with over 20 years of experience representing clients in personal injury, professional malpractice, defamation, products liability, and business litigation cases. He is a member of the Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice. Is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Florida. Mr. Parrish is fluent in Korean. Born in 1969 in Brazil, Indiana, Mr. Parrish joined the U.S.
Army in 1988, where he completed special training in infantry combat and served as a Korean Linguist. After his military service, he worked as a civilian analyst for the Intelligence Division of the U.S. Southern Command in Panama. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University in 1999 and graduated cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law–Indianapolis in 2003. During law school, Mr. Parrish was president of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, served as a representative at large for the student body, was lead counsel on the trial team that reached the National Regional Finals. Was an editor for the Indiana Law Review. He began his legal career at a prominent defense law firm in Florida, gaining valuable insight into defense strategies and tactics. Seeking to represent individuals who had been wronged, he transitioned to a plaintiff-focused law firm, further developing his trial advocacy skills.
In 2016, Mr. Parrish co-founded Parrish & Goodman, PLLC, with offices in Fort Myers and Naples, Florida. The firm is dedicated to providing strong representation for individuals injured due to the negligence or intentional acts of others. Mr. Parrish has successfully settled or tried numerous cases, including a multi-million-dollar verdict in his first solo trial. He is qualified to join the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and has been an Eagle Sponsor of the Florida Justice Association, demonstrating his commitment to protecting Florida citizens. Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Parrish is actively involved in the community. He has served on the Board of the YMCA, sponsored children through the World Vision program, and supported Relay for Life.
He has also served as an adjunct professor at the Western Michigan University-Thomas M. Cooley Law School, sharing his knowledge and experience with future lawyers.
