About Joseph John
Joseph John Reilly earned his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2001, after beginning his legal studies in 1998. He arrived on campus at a moment when the practice of law was shifting and courts were adapting to new procedures. Reilly's years in law school coincided with those changes, and he left with a J.D. in hand and an interest in courtroom work.
He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. He also holds admission to the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits. Those credentials allow him to handle matters that move beyond state trial courts and into federal appellate review.
Reilly began his career after law school and built experience handling matters in both state and federal forums. He has handled filings and argued motions in trial courts and has prepared appellate briefs for higher courts. His work has required familiarity with procedural rules across jurisdictions and an ability to move cases through different levels of the court system. He has handled litigation that proceeded in New Jersey and New York state courts and in federal districts that fall under the Second and Third Circuits.
At M. Cabrera & Associates, P.C., Reilly is part of a team that manages civil litigation and appeals. In that setting he prepares pleadings, argues procedural matters, and researches legal issues for briefs. He works on matters that require coordination between trial strategy and appellate preservation. Colleagues describe him as methodical in courtroom preparation and steady in written advocacy.
Over nearly a quarter-century since finishing law school, Reilly has kept a practice that moves between trial and appellate work. He maintains active admissions that let him pursue cases in state courts and in the federal courts of the Second and Third Circuits. He currently practices at M. Cabrera & Associates, P.C., handling civil litigation and appellate matters in New Jersey and New York.
