About Joseph J.
Joseph J. Bogdan holds both a Juris Doctor and a pharmaceutical doctorate. He earned his Pharm.D. from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy in 1989 and completed his J.D. at The John Marshall Law School in 1999. That combination of credentials shaped a career at the meeting point of health care and law.
He moved from the laboratory and pharmacy classroom into legal practice and legal education. His pharmaceutical training informs his legal work. His law degree opened doors to counseling, regulatory matters, and advocacy on issues that touch pharmacies, pharmacists, and health-care entities.
Bogdan has taught at several pharmacy schools. In 2009 he served as an adjunct assistant professor at Chicago State University College of Pharmacy. He took on an assistant professor role at Roosevelt University College of Pharmacy in 2010. In 2013 he joined Rosalind Franklin University College of Pharmacy as an assistant professor. Students and colleagues remember him for clear explanations and an emphasis on how law affects everyday professional practice.
Outside the classroom he participates in bar and professional organizations. He is a member of the Illinois bar and belongs to the Chicago Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association. He also maintains ties to pharmacy and pharmacy-law groups, including the American Society of Pharmacy Law and the American Pharmacists Association. At the Illinois Pharmacists Association he has held several roles on the IPHA Board of Directors, served as a regional director and regional delegate, and chaired the public relations committee.
Bogdan remains active in his law school’s alumni network. He mentors graduating attorneys and has served on The John Marshall Law School Alumni Board. Those activities keep him connected to legal education and to new lawyers entering practice in Illinois.
He practices from The Law Offices of Joseph J. Bogdan, Inc. in Illinois. His practice draws on his dual training, and he handles matters that involve pharmacy law, regulatory compliance, professional licensing, and related civil issues. He continues to teach and mentor while maintaining a private practice that serves clients in Illinois.
He currently practices at The Law Offices of Joseph J. Bogdan, Inc., handling pharmacy law, regulatory compliance, and professional licensing matters in Illinois.
