About Joseph Harvey
Joseph Harvey Hanson trained as an economist before turning to law. He earned a B.S. in Economics from Oklahoma State University–Stillwater in 2004 and completed his J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2008. Those formative years combined quantitative thinking and legal study, and they shape how he approaches client problems today.
Hanson is admitted to practice in Oklahoma. Early in his career he worked at Hanson & Hanson Law Office, PLLC in 2010. A few years later he established his own practice, operating as the Law Office of Joseph Harvey Hanson beginning in 2017. He has run an independent practice while also taking on roles in legal education and professional groups.
In 2017 he joined Oral Roberts University as an adjunct professor in the College of Business. University colleagues remember him as practical in the classroom. He brought courtroom and office experience into lectures and assigned projects that asked students to think about real-world business decisions.
