About Joseph
Joseph Bauer built his path to law through two Midwestern schools and a steady climb through public and private practice. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business with Legal Studies from Ferris State University in 2016 and completed his Juris Doctor at Valparaiso University School of Law in 2019. Those credentials put him in position to begin work in a county prosecutor’s office shortly after graduation.
In 2019 Bauer joined the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office as a deputy prosecutor. In that role he worked on behalf of the state on criminal matters and gained courtroom experience early in his career. The prosecutor’s office provided regular exposure to case preparation, witness handling, and motion practice, all under the pressures of a public docket.
A year later Bauer moved into private practice. In 2020 he became a partner at The Law Offices of Namie Bauer & Associates. The switch from a government role to a law firm shifted his day-to-day work to client representation and firm management tasks. He spent that period expanding his practice skills while navigating the demands of running cases for paying clients and participating in firm strategy.
In 2023 Bauer took another step, helping to found Outlaw Services and serving as a founding partner. Starting a firm required attention to administrative details alongside legal work. He handled matters that fell to a small firm partner: client intake, case management, and overseeing litigation where needed. The founding role also placed him in a position to shape the firm’s internal processes and public presence.
Colleagues describe Bauer as an attorney who has moved through different parts of the legal system in a short span of years. That trajectory—from law school graduation to prosecutor, then to partner, and finally to founding a practice—has given him a broad view of courtroom procedure and the business side of a law office. He maintains professional memberships and stays connected to the legal community in Indiana.
Today Bauer practices law in Indiana through Outlaw Services. He continues to work on matters arising in the state and handles the responsibilities that come with leading a small law firm.
