About Joseph Anthony
Joseph Anthony Lobosco earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law in 1989. He completed his formal legal education at a time when many young lawyers entered public service to gain courtroom experience. He later built a career that moves between government prosecution and private practice in New York.
His first recorded role after law school was as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office in 1989. That early work placed him in the courthouse and in front of juries. After several years in private practice, he listed himself as the principal of The Law Office of Joseph A. Lobosco in 2004, establishing a base for his own practice.
Over the next decade he worked in a series of small law offices. In 2014 he was a lawyer at The Nelson Law Office P.C. He later joined The Law Offices of Kenneth J. Weinstein, P.C. in 2016. The following year he returned to public prosecution as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office in 2017. In 2018 he worked with The Law Office of Robert DiDio & Associates. These positions reflect a mix of prosecutorial assignments and private firm work in New York.
Throughout his career Lobosco has maintained ties to the New York legal community. Public records list him as practicing in New York. He also maintains a current professional association membership. His resume shows movement between roles that offer courtroom exposure and roles that involve managing client matters in smaller firms.
Those shifts produced a mode of practice that balances litigation experience and private client representation. Time spent in district attorney’s offices gave him repeated courtroom assignments. Years in private firms and in his own office required managing client relationships and handling a range of civil and criminal matters. He has worked in both borough-based prosecution offices and in neighborhood law practices.
As of 2026 he is identified with The Law Office of Joseph A. Lobosco. He continues to work in New York, dividing his time between private practice and matters that draw on his years of courtroom work. He currently focuses on private legal practice and representation in New York.
