About Jorjana

Jorjana Marx has built a career that crosses two very different corners of law: elder law and the technical side of litigation. She combines courtroom and client-facing work with projects that require an understanding of electronic evidence. The mix has defined her path from law school to running her own practice.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from Baylor University in 1995. She remained at Baylor for law school and received her J.D. from Baylor Law School in 1998. Those years set the foundation for a career that has moved between large firm practice and independent work.

Early in her post-law school career she took on roles that emphasized electronic discovery. In 2003 she worked at K&L Gates LLP as a Special Projects Lawyer in e-discovery. There she handled large document review projects and assisted litigation teams that needed technical support for discovery demands. Those responsibilities deepened her familiarity with the tools and processes used in modern litigation.

Marx later moved into private practice and business ownership. She founded eLex pllc in 2009, offering services that grew out of her e-discovery background. In 2017 she established the Law Office of Jorjana Marx and has served as its owner since then. She also joined Oklahoma Senior Law in 2019, aligning herself with organizations that serve aging clients and the lawyers who represent them.

Her professional memberships include the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and ElderCounsel, both of which she joined in 2018 and maintains today. These affiliations reflect an ongoing engagement with the elder law community and the practical issues that affect older clients and their families.

Marx is licensed to practice in Washington and Oklahoma. That dual-jurisdiction standing has allowed her to work on matters that cross state lines and to provide services to clients and attorneys in different forums. Over time she has blended elder law work with consultancy and project-based e-discovery services for law firms.

Today she continues to operate the Law Office of Jorjana Marx. Her practice combines elder law matters and e-discovery consulting for attorneys and their clients, handling both client-facing elder law issues and technical discovery projects for litigation teams.
