About Jordan
Jordan Lipp built a legal path that began in the classroom and moved quickly into the courtroom. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2000 and completed his J.D. at the University of Michigan Law School in 2002. Those years provided the foundation for a practice grounded in litigation and legal instruction.
After law school Lipp spent a crucial year clerking for the Honorable Edward W. Nottingham of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. That clerkship, in 2003, gave him early exposure to federal procedure and the daily realities of trial-level decision making. He entered private practice the same year, joining Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons LLP and taking on the work of a litigation associate.
By 2005 Lipp had moved to Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP as a partner. There he handled matters that tested both strategy and pacing. He remained active in Colorado courts and in professional circles. His membership in the Colorado State Bar dates to 2003 and has continued since then.
In 2014 Lipp added teaching to his professional mix as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Students saw a practitioner who could explain courtroom mechanics and the practical choices lawyers make when cases head toward trial or settlement. Teaching allowed him to step back from individual files and examine the larger rules that shape practice.
In 2018 he took on a leadership role at Childs McCune LLC as a managing member. That shift placed him in a position that blends casework, client management and firm operations. The record shows steady engagement in Colorado’s legal community, alternating between courtroom work and mentoring younger lawyers.
Colleagues and students have encountered a lawyer who moves comfortably between litigation, case management and classroom instruction. His career illustrates a common arc: courtroom training, private-practice responsibility, academic involvement and firm leadership. He continues to work through Childs McCune LLC in Colorado, where his current practice focuses on matters handled by the firm in the state.
