About Jordan B.
Jordan B. Hansell built a career that moves between law, corporate leadership and boardrooms. He earned a B.A. from Duke University in 1993 and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1998. Those academic credentials set the stage for a brief but formative period in Washington, followed by a long stretch in private practice and then a series of executive roles in industry.
Early in his career he served as a law clerk to Associate Justice Antonin Scalia at the Supreme Court of the United States in 1999. That experience was followed by a return to private practice, where he became a partner at Nyemaster Goode, P.C. in 2000. His time in firm practice gave him courtroom exposure and transactional work that later informed his corporate responsibilities.
Beginning in the late 2000s he shifted into senior executive roles. In 2009 he took on the role of Chairman and CEO at NetJets Inc., a company known for private aviation services. He later moved into leadership positions across insurance and technology: he is listed as Executive Chairman and Principal of QuickInsured in 2014 and as President of Rockbridge in 2015. In 2018 he co-founded Tradepost LLC and also assumed an executive chairman role at Consolidated Metals, Inc. The succession of titles reflects a career that spans corporate governance, operational leadership and entrepreneurial ventures.
Hansell’s background blends transactional legal work with hands-on executive management. His experience covers corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, capital allocation and regulatory matters that frequently arise in aviation and insurance businesses. He has worked on both the legal and management sides of complex deals, advising boards on governance structures, overseeing integrations and helping executive teams set strategic priorities. That mix of law and business gives him a practical view of how legal choices translate into operational outcomes.
Today he maintains his association with Rockbridge and has held executive titles in other companies since 2018. He advises boards and senior executives on governance, strategy and transactional matters while carrying out corporate leadership responsibilities. He concentrates on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and board advisory work at Rockbridge.
