About Jonathon

Jonathon Yunker earned his law degree and an MBA from the University of North Dakota in 2017. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2012. The combination of a J.D. and an MBA shaped his early approach to practice. It gave him a practical view of legal issues that intersect with business concerns.

After law school, Yunker began practicing in North Dakota. He is admitted to the North Dakota bar and is also authorized to appear in the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota. Those admissions allow him to handle matters at both the state and federal level. He joined the Traynor Law Office, building his courtroom experience and client work there.

Colleagues describe Yunker as methodical in his preparation. He takes a deliberately plainspoken style when explaining complex matters to clients. That approach helped him manage cases that require careful procedural work in federal filings and attentive client communication in state court matters. He balances litigation responsibilities with work that requires understanding business records and financial details, reflecting his dual degree background.

Yunker’s time at Traynor Law Office has been spent on a range of matters filed in North Dakota courts. He handles pleadings, motions and hearings in both state and federal forums. He also works on transactional tasks that require review and drafting of business documents. His legal work often calls for attention to procedural rules, which are important in the U.S. District Court as well as in state proceedings.

Outside the courtroom, he engages in the kind of client counseling that benefits from both legal training and business education. That combination tends to shape practical advice about risk, compliance and contract matters. He explains options clearly, then moves to implement the chosen path.

He currently practices at Traynor Law Office, representing clients in matters brought in North Dakota state courts and in the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota.
