About Jonathan
Jonathan Pearson earned his J.D. from New England Law | Boston in 2006. He moved into private legal work after law school and built a practice around disability law. He is licensed to practice in Illinois and has spent his career working in and around the Chicago area.
In 2014 he took on the role of managing lawyer at Pearson Disability Law, LLC. Under that title he has overseen the firm’s operations and its expansion across the Chicago suburbs. The firm maintains a primary Chicago office and additional locations in Downers Grove, Lake Forest, Orland Park, Schaumburg and a Milwaukee, Wisconsin office.
Pearson is a member of the Chicago Bar Association. He has developed a practice that centers on disability-related claims and administrative matters. His work involves handling case preparation, filings and hearings on behalf of clients who face long-term illness or impairment. He represents individuals through various stages of the disability benefits process and works directly with administrative bodies and medical evidence to build cases.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and direct in client communication. He balances paperwork-heavy appeals with the practical needs of clients who may be dealing with serious health problems. That balance shapes how he allocates time between hearings, client consultations and assembling medical records.
The offices spread across northeastern Illinois and the Milwaukee location allow the firm to meet clients at several points across the region. Pearson continues to practice from the firm’s Chicago office while maintaining involvement in the broader operations of the practice. He currently focuses on representing individuals in disability law matters from the firm’s Illinois offices.
