About Jonathan
Jonathan Krisbergh is an attorney whose career bridges large law firms and in-house legal work. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2006 after completing a B.A. at Duke University in 2001. He was admitted to the New York bar in 2007.
Krisbergh began his practice in private firms. Early in his career he worked at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and served as a senior associate at Boies Schiller & Flexner in 2008. Those years established a foundation in complex commercial matters and litigation practice in New York.
In 2012 he clerked for the Honorable Richard M. Berman in the Southern District of New York. That same year he took on the role of general counsel at Secco Squared, LLC, moving into a hands-on in-house position that combined legal oversight with operational responsibilities. The shift gave him an inside view of corporate decision-making and compliance challenges.
Krisbergh returned to senior legal roles at larger companies after his general counsel stint. In 2015 he joined CBRE, Inc. as senior counsel, working on legal issues tied to real estate and corporate transactions. He later served as senior counsel at Thompson Hine, LLP beginning in 2022, where he handled matters that drew on both his litigation background and corporate transactional experience.
In 2023 Krisbergh launched his own practice, founding Krisbergh Law, PLLC. The new firm reflects a move back to private practice under his own banner. His experience in big law, in-house counsel roles, and a federal clerkship inform how he approaches client matters and case strategy.
Throughout his career he has maintained membership in the State Bar of New York since 2007. Colleagues and clients note his familiarity with the procedural side of litigation as well as contract drafting and negotiation, areas that recur across the positions he has held. He has handled matters that touch on corporate governance, commercial disputes, and real estate-related issues.
He currently practices from Krisbergh Law, PLLC and focuses his practice on corporate and commercial matters, real estate-related counsel, and litigation.
