About Jonathan George

Jonathan George Connor pursued a sequence of degrees that combine business and law. He earned a B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, followed by an MBA from Marshall University. He completed his legal education at Lincoln Memorial University, where he received his J.D. This mix of undergraduate science, graduate business training, and law school shaped the way he approaches legal problems.

After law school he moved into practice in North Carolina. He is admitted to the state bar and is also authorized to appear before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Those admissions allow him to represent clients in both state and federal matters, and they inform the range of filings and arguments he handles on a regular basis.

Connor’s work blends courtroom advocacy and written legal work. He prepares pleadings and briefs, appears in hearings, and handles procedural matters that come up in litigation. He also handles the appellate step where cases require review beyond trial courts, using his standing before the Fourth Circuit when appeals are appropriate.

Clients and colleagues describe him as deliberate and direct in his courtroom approach. He favors careful preparation and clear writing. Those habits reflect his academic background in business as much as in law. The MBA training contributes to his handling of cases that involve financial records, contracts, or regulatory questions, where a practical understanding of business and finance is useful.

Connor maintains an office in Lumberton where he meets clients and manages caseloads. He works on matters that arise in the region and on federal cases that touch the Fourth Circuit. His practice combines in-person client work with drafting and litigation tasks that require close attention to deadlines and procedural rules.

Outside routine filings and hearings he spends time on continuing legal education to keep abreast of changes in both state and federal procedure. He is active in bar-related activities and remains engaged with the legal community in North Carolina. He currently practices law in Lumberton and concentrates on state and federal litigation matters.
