About Jonathan David
Jonathan David Ramsey is an attorney who built his legal foundation in Florida. He studied at Florida State University before earning his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Those years set the stage for a career that has kept him in state courts and public service.
Fresh out of law school, Ramsey entered public practice. He served as an Assistant State Lawyer in the Eighth Judicial Circuit. There, he handled cases at various stages of prosecution. The work exposed him to courtroom procedure, evidence issues and the demands of managing a docket under tight timelines.
His time in the state attorney’s office was practical and hands-on. He tried cases before juries and appeared regularly in pretrial hearings. The role required direct interaction with victims, law enforcement and fellow attorneys. It also meant managing the competing pressures of legal strategy and public accountability.
Ramsey belongs to professional associations and maintains active membership in legal groups in Florida. He has stayed connected to colleagues across the bench and bar. Those relationships inform how he approaches cases and how he communicates in court settings.
He later moved into private practice at Fine, Farkash & Parlapiano, P.A. That transition shifted his work from a government prosecutor role to a law firm environment. At the firm he applies courtroom experience to client representation, drawing on procedural knowledge gained in the Eighth Judicial Circuit. His practice is rooted in Florida law and in the habits of preparation that government work often requires.
Clients and peers note that Ramsey’s background gives him a clear understanding of how state cases progress from initial charge through disposition. He continues to practice in Florida and remains engaged in the legal community. He now practices at Fine, Farkash & Parlapiano, P.A., where he handles litigation and counseling related to matters arising in Florida state courts.
