About Jonathan Daniel
Jonathan Daniel Lawrence trained first as a social scientist and later as a lawyer. He holds a B.S. in Psychology from Appalachian State University and earned his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law. Those early choices — psychology then law — shape how he approaches clients and cases.
He began his legal career in contract roles. In 2012 he worked as a contract lawyer for PartnerJD. The next year he joined The Law Office of Flora Templeton Stuart, where he gained hands-on experience in daily office practice and case handling. In 2014 he held several positions, including contract work with Carolina Legal Associates and Carolina Legal Staffing, and a role as a personal injury lawyer at Hughes and Coleman. Those positions exposed him to client intake, drafting pleadings, discovery work, and trial preparation.
By 2018 he moved into associate-level work. That year he served as an associate lawyer at GriffithLaw and later at Bill Easterly & Associates, P.C. In those offices he handled a range of matters and worked on litigation tasks that included motion practice, client counseling, and settlement negotiations. The variety of roles over the years gave him repeated courtroom exposure and experience managing files from intake through resolution.
Lawrence is admitted to practice in Kentucky and Tennessee and holds current membership in the Tennessee State Bar. He has practiced across state lines and is familiar with procedural differences in both jurisdictions. His background in psychology informs how he prepares witnesses and communicates with clients under stress.
Colleagues and clients have described his approach as straightforward and practical. He tends to break complex issues into concrete steps. He does not overhaul a case without assessing the immediate legal needs and potential outcomes. That pragmatic style guides how he evaluates liability, damages, and settlement prospects.
Today Lawrence divides his work across civil litigation and personal injury matters. He represents clients in both Kentucky and Tennessee and handles tasks that range from pretrial investigation to courtroom advocacy. He continues to practice in state courts in both jurisdictions and handles personal injury and civil litigation matters across Kentucky and Tennessee.
