About Jonathan A.

Jonathan A. Karon built a legal foundation in Michigan and Massachusetts. He earned a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Michigan in 1982 and took his law degree from Boston University School of Law in 1986. Those classroom years set the stage for a long career in trial work and bar activity.

He has been active in the Massachusetts legal community for decades. Karon has held leadership roles in the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers, including a term as its president. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers Journal, overseeing the publication’s selection of articles and practical resources for trial lawyers across the state. His involvement with the Massachusetts State Bar has continued since 1987.

Karon’s professional title is Of Counsel at KJC Law Office, LLC. In that capacity he advises on litigation strategy, case assessment and courtroom preparation. Colleagues describe him as steady in the courtroom and deliberate in legal analysis. He brings an institutional memory to complex cases, and he often works on matters where experience and tactical judgment matter most.

Across the years he has balanced practice with organizational work. Running a bar journal has kept him close to developments in evidence, procedure and trial technique. His editorial role requires evaluating submissions, managing peer review and shaping content that practicing attorneys can use on difficult cases. That activity complements his courtroom work rather than replacing it.

Karon’s career is marked by sustained participation rather than flash. He maintained membership in the Massachusetts State Bar continuously since 1987. That long-standing engagement has put him in regular contact with trial lawyers across the state and with the procedural shifts that shape civil litigation in Massachusetts.

He continues to practice out of KJC Law Office, LLC, where he draws on decades of trial and editorial experience to assist clients and younger lawyers. He presently concentrates on litigation matters and assists other attorneys in preparing cases for trial.
