About Jon
Jon Ginter began his legal path in Ohio. He earned his undergraduate degree at Ohio University and completed his law degree at Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2004. He moved quickly into bankruptcy practice after law school and established the foundation for the work he does today.
Early in his career Ginter was admitted to practice before the Northern District of Ohio Federal Bankruptcy Court in 2005. That same year he joined Rauser and Associates as a bankruptcy lawyer, where he handled filings and court proceedings that introduced him to the day-to-day realities of debtor-creditor law. The experience gave him steady courtroom exposure and technical familiarity with bankruptcy procedure.
In 2013 he set out on his own and founded the Law Offices of Jon Ginter, LLC. Over time the practice has been presented to clients through local office locations operating under the Ginter Legal name. The practice maintains office locations in Cleveland and in Westlake. Those offices serve as the base for client consultations, hearings and case preparation in the Northern District of Ohio.
Ginter’s work centers on bankruptcy matters. He appears in federal bankruptcy court and manages the paperwork, motions and hearings that most filings require. His record shows a career built around the mechanics of bankruptcy law, including preparation of petitions, plan negotiations and court appearances. He has worked on cases that range from initial filings to contested matters before the bankruptcy judge.
Colleagues and clients note that Ginter brings practical courtroom experience to routine case handling. He has spent more than two decades practicing in Ohio courts since finishing law school. That time includes years of private practice alongside earlier work at a bankruptcy firm and years running his own firm. He keeps his practice anchored in the local federal bankruptcy system where he is licensed to practice.
As of 2026 Ginter continues to practice in Ohio out of the Cleveland and Westlake offices, representing clients in federal bankruptcy court and handling related litigation and filings. His current practice concentrates on bankruptcy matters in the Northern District of Ohio.
