About Johnathan David
Johnathan David Silva built his legal foundation through a sequence of academic and military-oriented studies before entering practice. He earned a Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2014. Earlier, he completed a Master of Arts in Political Science in 2011 and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2009, both from American Military University. The combination of those degrees shaped an approach that mixes practical legal training with an understanding of public policy and criminal justice systems.
Silva moved into the legal world in roles that combined public service and private practice. He worked as an associate at Lone Star Legal Aid in 2013, then served as a lawyer and fellow with Equal Justice Works in 2014. Those early postings exposed him to high-volume client work and the constraints of nonprofit practice. He entered private firm life in 2016 as an associate at Mukerji Law Office, then took associate positions in 2017 at D. Miller and Associates and at The Law Offices of Glaze and Garrett. Each stop added a different set of responsibilities, from case intake and research to courtroom preparation and client counseling.
In 2018 Silva founded J.D. Silva & Associates, PLLC and assumed the role of managing partner.
