John Walter "Jack" Easterbrook is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1994 and holds bar number 173890. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Easterbrook is a founding partner at Strategy Law, LLP, a law firm located in San Jose, California. He has been practicing law for over 32 years, serving clients throughout the Bay Area and the State of California.
Mr. Easterbrook earned his Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law, graduating with honors. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Michigan State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. Additionally, he holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
Mr. Easterbrook concentrates his practice in the areas of banking and finance, real estate, and technology transactions. He represents private and institutional lenders, businesses, and individuals in matters involving secured loan transactions, commercial debt financing, problem loan workouts, liquidations, insolvency, and creditor's rights issues. His practice includes structuring and documenting complex loan transactions and financings secured by real estate, intellectual property, or business assets. He also has extensive experience in negotiating commercial and construction contracts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Easterbrook has handled cases in various courts, including the Superior Court of California for the County of Santa Clara and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Prior to founding Strategy Law, LLP, he served as a commercial, real estate, and asset-based lender for Wells Fargo Bank, where he held management and revenue line responsibility.
Mr. Easterbrook is an active member of the State Bar of California. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, and has been named to the Northern California Super Lawyers list for multiple consecutive years, including 2021 through 2025. He is also involved in community organizations, serving on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee of the Big Wave Group, a non-profit organization supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
