About John Scott
John Scott Hopper grew up studying business and public affairs before turning to law. He earned an A.A. in Management and a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Thomas More College, completed an M.A. in Public Administration at Norwich University, and took his legal degree at Northern Kentucky University, receiving a J.D. in 2017. Those academic stops shaped a practical view of how organizations and people interact with rules and institutions.
After law school he moved quickly into practice in Kentucky. He became a partner at The Law Offices of Farley and Hopper PLLC in 2018 and has worked there since. His role as partner includes overseeing litigation strategy, managing client matters, and supervising case preparation. Colleagues describe him as methodical in trial preparation and steady under pressure; he blends the procedural demands of court work with day-to-day client counseling.
Hopper maintains memberships in several professional organizations. He joined the American Bar Association and the Northern Kentucky Bar Association in 2018. He is also a member of the Kentucky Justice Association, a role he has held since 2019. Those affiliations keep him tied to developments in practice rules and provide regular access to continuing legal education and peer networks.
Work at the firm has covered a range of courtroom and pretrial tasks. He handles pleadings, discovery, motion practice and client communications. He often oversees teams that prepare cases for trial and coordinate experts. The pace of litigation has required him to balance paperwork with strategic choices about when to move cases forward and when to seek resolution out of court.
Outside the office he has remained connected to the northern Kentucky community where he trained and now practices. He draws on his background in public administration and business to explain legal options in plain language. Clients, other attorneys and court staff note that he is pragmatic and attentive to procedural detail.
He is licensed to practice in Kentucky and remains active in local and state bar circles. He now practices at The Law Offices of Farley and Hopper PLLC, where his work focuses on serving clients in Kentucky.
