John Riley Ross is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1975. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Ross is the founder and principal attorney at Ross Patent Law Office, a firm specializing in intellectual property law, located in Del Mar, California. He has been practicing law for over four decades, serving clients throughout the San Diego area and beyond.
Mr. Ross earned his Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1996. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the United States Naval Academy, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1988. During his time at the Naval Academy, he developed a strong foundation in engineering principles, which later complemented his legal expertise in intellectual property.
Mr. Ross concentrates his practice in the areas of intellectual property law, including patent and trademark law. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving patent applications, patent infringement, trademark registration, and trademark disputes.
