About John Nye Gulick
John Nye Gulick Jr. is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1971. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Gulick is the principal attorney at his own law firm, Gulick Law, located in Greenbrae, California. He has been practicing law for over fifty years, serving clients throughout the Bay Area and surrounding regions.
Mr. Gulick earned his Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1970, where he served as Note Editor of the Law Review and Chief Justice of the Student Court. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Washington & Lee University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1963. During his time at Case Western, he was recognized with membership in the Order of the Coif, an honor society for law graduates.
Mr. Gulick concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, civil rights, collections, estate planning, personal injury, and real estate law. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and premises liability claims. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gulick has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Marin, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in San Francisco for five years.
Mr. Gulick is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. He is also a certified mediator through the Marin County Superior Court mediation program. Mr. Gulick is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of the Bay Area effectively.
