About John Moss

John Moss Hinchcliff is an attorney specializing in trusts and estates law, with a focus on estate and tax planning for foreign citizens, non-traditional and second families, and individuals with disabilities. He assists business owners, professors, and other successful individuals in managing their wealth and planning its transfer to spouses, children, charities, and others. Additionally, he represents executors and trustees in estate administration, handling complex post-mortem tax and financial planning issues, estate tax returns and audits. Hinchcliff earned his Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College and his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1983 and has been practicing law for over four decades. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. He is of counsel at Miller Mayer, LLP in Ithaca, New York, a firm he joined in 1987 after starting his career with Milbank, Tweed in New York City.
