About John
John Leppler grew up interested in how the law affected everyday people. He pursued that interest at the University of Baltimore School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2014. While in law school he studied legal services and personal injury topics and later completed a mediation certification through the same institution. Those early experiences shaped the practical approach he brings to cases today.
After passing through law school and the bar, Leppler built his practice around civil injury matters. In 2020 he founded Leppler Injury Law and took on the role of managing lawyer. He also operates under the name Law Office of John J. Leppler. The move to open his own practice came after several years working on personal injury claims and related civil matters, where he handled negotiations, filings and, when necessary, appellate work in federal court.
Leppler is admitted to practice in Maryland and in the Federal Circuit. He is an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association and, since 2021, the Baltimore County Bar Association. Those memberships reflect a local practice that still engages with state and federal procedures. He has used his mediation training to attempt settlements before progressing to litigation.
Clients and colleagues describe his style as direct and procedural. He breaks issues down into concrete steps. He prepares for hearings and drafts pleadings with an eye toward clarity. He also manages the administrative and business aspects of his firm, overseeing intake, case management and the coordination of outside experts when they are necessary.
The practice handles a range of injury-related claims, from initial demand letters to motions in court. Leppler’s experience includes negotiating settlements, representing clients at mediations and pursuing cases through trial and appeal when resolution cannot be reached beforehand. He maintains contact with clients throughout each phase of a case and explains options and likely outcomes.
Outside the office he remains connected to the legal community through bar association activities. He attends continuing education and participates in programs that address procedural and substantive developments in civil litigation. He continues to operate Leppler Injury Law and the Law Office of John J. Leppler, where his current practice focuses on personal injury and related civil claims.
