About John Halim
John Halim Hachem combines study in law, mediation and technology into a practice shaped by dispute resolution and technical familiarity. He trained for the law after completing graduate work in conflict resolution. His path through these disciplines informs how he approaches client matters.
Hachem earned his J.D. from Massachusetts School of Law in 2020. He also holds a Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution, Mediation and Negotiation from the University of Massachusetts–Boston, awarded in 2015. Earlier, he completed a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at the University of Massachusetts–Lowell, conferred in 2012. Those credentials reflect an interest in both interpersonal processes and technical systems.
Following law school, Hachem entered practice in Connecticut. He is licensed to practice in that jurisdiction. Over time he has combined the dispute-resolution tools learned during his master’s program with legal training to address disputes that benefit from both legal analysis and negotiated solutions.
His background in information technology informs how he evaluates cases that involve technical issues. That experience can shape discovery strategies and the choice of experts. It also affects how he communicates complex technical points to clients and, when necessary, to judges and opposing counsel.
Hachem is principal at Hachem and Associates, where he maintains an active practice. The office handles matters that often require a balance between courtroom advocacy and settlement negotiation. He counsels clients through each stage of a case, from early assessment and strategy to disposition, whether by negotiated outcome or adjudication.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing files and pragmatic in advising clients about risk and possible outcomes. He draws on his academic training in mediation when cases present opportunities for negotiated resolution, and on his technical background when matters raise information-technology questions. He now practices at Hachem and Associates, concentrating his work on litigation, mediation and related dispute-resolution services in Connecticut.
