John Gihon is a partner at Lasnetski Gihon Law, a firm renowned for its focus on criminal and immigration law. John has been practicing law for over two decades, dedicating his career to immigration and criminal defense. His expertise is underscored by his board certification in Immigration and Nationality Law, a distinction awarded by the Florida Bar in 2015. In 2002, John earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Prior to that, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in History and Criminology at the same institution in 1999.

Before entering private practice, John served as a Senior Attorney with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). His role also required him to obtain Top Secret clearance.

He is involved with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where he served as Chapter Chair for the Central Florida Chapter.
Additionally, he is a member of the Florida Bar Immigration and Nationality Law Certification Committee. His contributions to the field have been recognized; in 2016, he received the Outstanding Contributions to the Chapter award from AILA's Central Florida Chapter.
