John Francis Carella is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2008. His license is currently inactive. Mr. Carella is a member of the Law Offices of Russo & Prince, a law firm located in Suisun City, California. He has been practicing law for over 18 years, serving clients throughout Solano and Napa counties in Northern California.
Mr. Carella earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he graduated in 2005. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Notre Dame, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2002. During his time at the University of San Francisco, he was actively involved in various legal clinics and internships, gaining practical experience in family law matters.
Mr. Carella concentrates his practice in the areas of family law, including divorce, domestic violence, and child custody. He represents individuals and families in matters involving dissolution of marriage, annulment, legal separation, spousal support, child custody and visitation, child support, division of assets and debts, marital settlement agreements, post-marital and prenuptial agreements, paternity issues, grandparent rights, and step-parent adoption. His practice encompasses all stages of family law litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Carella has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Solano and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining the Law Offices of Russo & Prince in January 2006, he worked as an associate attorney at a mid-size family law firm in Fairfield for three years.
Mr. Carella is an active member of the California State Bar Association and the Solano County Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Family Law. He is also a certified mediator through the Solano County Superior Court mediation program. Mr. Carella is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Solano and Napa counties effectively.
