About John F.
John F. Rossi built his legal career on steady, practical work. He began in the late 1970s as an undergraduate studying management and accounting. That background shaped how he approaches client problems: numbers matter, and so does clarity.
He earned a B.S. in Management with a concentration in Accounting from Boston University in 1978. He stayed in Massachusetts for law school and received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1981. Those years placed him in Boston’s legal scene at a busy time. He moved quickly from classroom to courtroom adjacencies.
Rossi’s early professional steps were as an associate at two Boston firms. In 1981 he worked at Piro & Lilly and at Fusaro & Fusaro. The work there covered routine litigation and counseling for local businesses. Two years later, in 1983, he opened his own practice, John F. Rossi, Lawyer At Law. He has maintained a private practice since then, handling matters that reflect his twin interests in law and business.
His résumé also includes an in-house role. In 2018 Rossi served as general counsel for NuPath, Inc. That post added corporate governance and internal compliance duties to his roster. It was a different rhythm than solo practice. It also reinforced his experience advising organizations on legal risk and operational questions.
Rossi maintains memberships in several bar and professional organizations. He has been involved with the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association since 1996 and served in an officer role in the past. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the American Bar Association, with membership listings beginning in 2016 for both. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and has been admitted to argue before the United States Supreme Court and the First Circuit.
Over four decades Rossi’s work has mixed courtroom representation, transactional counseling, and in-house responsibilities. He runs a small practice in Massachusetts and continues to represent individuals and businesses. His practice centers on employment law, business and corporate counseling, and litigation, areas he continues to handle in his current work.
