About John David

John David Claudell built a steady path to the law through a mix of liberal arts and legal training. He attended Baker University in 1992, earned a B.A. in history from Colorado State University in 1996, and completed his J.D. at the University of Colorado Law School in 1999. Those years shaped a practical approach to legal problems and an interest in how rules affect everyday life.

After law school he established his career in Colorado. He is licensed to practice in the state and has worked from multiple offices across the Denver area. Over the years he has handled matters in state courts and before local administrative bodies, moving between practice locations as client needs and professional opportunities evolved.

Colleagues describe his work style as methodical. He focuses on building a clear factual record and on careful legal analysis. That approach shows in tasks that range from drafting pleadings and motions to preparing clients for hearings and trials. He leans on the kind of legal research and writing that often decides a case before it reaches a jury.

Day-to-day practice has required him to juggle litigation schedules, client meetings and the deadlines that define modern law practice. He has split time among offices in Lonetree/DTC, Denver and Boulder. That geographic spread has allowed him to remain accessible to clients across the Front Range while handling matters in multiple jurisdictions within Colorado.

His undergraduate study in history informs how he frames problems. He tends to look for patterns in records and to place disputes in a broader chronological and factual context. That perspective can be useful whether the matter involves contested facts, discrete transactional issues or administrative procedures.

Outside the courtroom he has been involved in standard law practice tasks: negotiating settlements, preparing transactional documents and advising clients about procedural options. He is comfortable in settings that require both written advocacy and oral argument.

As of 2026 he continues to practice law in Colorado, maintaining offices in Lonetree/DTC, Denver and Boulder and representing clients across the state from those locations.
