About John Benjamin
John Benjamin Moore built a legal path that moves from classroom debate to courtroom counsel. He arrived at law school after undergraduate study in argumentation and ethnic studies, and he has kept immigration law at the center of his work since.
Moore matriculated at the University of Utah in 2001 and completed a B.S. in 2005, majoring in Argumentation and Ethnic Studies. He entered the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2008 and earned his J.D. in 2011, where his study emphasized immigration law.
His first post-law-school position was in federal government. In 2011 he served as a Lawyer Advisor at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review. That role placed him inside the administrative structure that oversees immigration adjudications and offered exposure to federal procedures and case reviews.
A year later Moore moved into private practice. In 2012 he joined Maney | Gordon as a managing lawyer. The following year he took a leadership role at Villalobos & Moore, LLP, becoming managing partner in 2013. The move to partnership signaled a shift into firm management alongside case work and client counseling.
Moore’s membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association dates back to 2008 and continues through the present. He maintains professional ties that reflect long-standing engagement with the immigration bar and its evolving practice issues.
Practicing in Pennsylvania, Moore combines experience from federal administrative service and private firm leadership. He has navigated roles that require both legal analysis and managerial attention. Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and steady in the office. Outside day-to-day practice he participates in professional networks tied to immigration law.
Today he practices at Villalobos & Moore, where his work centers on immigration matters in Pennsylvania. His current practice focuses on immigration law.
