About Jodi S.
Jodi S. Martin built a practical foundation in criminal justice before she ever set foot in a courtroom as an attorney. She earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Oklahoma City University in 1991 and returned there to complete her J.D. in 1994. Those years in Oklahoma City shaped her early approach to courtroom work and public service.
Her first legal job came in 1997, when she served as an assistant district lawyer in the Oklahoma County District Lawyer's Office. That position placed her on the front lines of prosecution and everyday trial work. She later moved into private practice and, by 2003, was a partner at Collins, Zorn & Wagner, P.C., where she handled a mix of civil and criminal matters and developed experience across trial and appellate proceedings.
In 2012 she established Martin Law Office LLC. She is the firm’s founding partner and has run the practice since then. The firm’s formation marked a shift to an independent practice model and provided a base for litigation across state and federal venues. She is admitted to practice in Oklahoma and Colorado and is authorized to appear before the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. She has been a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association since 1997 and remains an active member.
Martin has stayed involved in bar and civic groups throughout her career. She has belonged to the Colorado Bar Association since 2012 and holds membership in the Colorado Women’s Bar Association and the Colorado LGBT Bar Association. She also belongs to the National LGBT Bar Association and to the Boulder County Bar Association; she has served on the Boulder County Bar Association Board of Directors since 2020. From 2015 to 2019 she served as a commissioner on the 20th Judicial District Judicial Nominating Commission.
Colleagues describe Martin as methodical in litigation and attentive to procedural detail. Her background combines courtroom experience from public prosecution with years of private practice, including partnership and firm leadership. She has handled appeals and trial matters in both state and federal courts and has staffed cases requiring filings at multiple levels of the judiciary.
Today she leads Martin Law Office LLC, where her practice handles civil litigation and appellate work in Colorado and Oklahoma. Her current practice focuses on trial and appellate representation across state and federal courts.
