About Jocelyn Emily
Jocelyn Emily Strauber built her legal foundation at Brown University, where she earned a B.A. in 1995, and at Duke University School of Law, where she received her J.D. in 1998. Early in her career she took on federal appellate work, clerking for Judge A. Raymond Randolph on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in 1998. She then served as a Bristow Fellow in 1999 at the Office of the Solicitor General in the U.S. Department of Justice, and the following year she clerked for Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist at the U.S. Supreme Court.
Strauber moved into public service litigation after her clerkships. In 2005 she joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York as an Assistant U.S. Lawyer. That role placed her in one of the nation’s most active federal offices, where she continued to refine skills acquired during her years in federal appellate and Supreme Court chambers.
In 2013 she entered private practice as a partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates. Her title there is partner in the Government Enforcement and White Collar Crime group. Across her career she has navigated both government-side roles and private practice at a large international firm. Her resume reflects extended experience in federal litigation environments, appellate briefing, and roles that interact with government enforcement institutions.
Strauber has maintained professional memberships since 2000 and is licensed to practice in New York. She works out of Skadden’s offices and represents clients in matters that require engagement with government enforcement authorities and related litigation. Her current practice centers on government enforcement and white collar crime.
