About Jin
Jin Kim began her academic journey in the Midwest. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1995. After several years, she pursued legal studies and obtained a Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School. Those degrees set the stage for a practice rooted in California law.
Her early legal work included a role at Roni Deutch Tax Corp in 2008. There she worked on matters that involved tax representation and client advocacy in financial disputes. The position exposed her to the procedural side of tax controversies and the practical demands of representing individuals and small businesses in negotiations with taxing authorities.
In 2014 she launched the Law Office of Jin Kim, creating a solo practice that allowed her to manage client matters directly. Running a small firm meant handling intake, client counseling, and case management. It also required translating complex tax and legal concepts into clear advice for clients who were often navigating difficult financial situations.
Her career took a dual path in 2019 when she joined Sacramento Law Group LLP as of counsel. That role added a collaborative element to her work. She began splitting time between her own practice and providing advisory support within a larger firm structure. Colleagues describe her approach as steady and practical; clients relied on her for clear explanations and hands-on representation.
Licensed to practice in California, Kim has built a practice that bridges solo and firm-based work. She has not publicly listed professional association leadership roles. Her record shows steady progression from staff attorney at a tax-focused firm to solo practitioner and then to of counsel at a regional firm. The arc suggests familiarity with tax-related matters and the everyday legal needs of individuals facing financial disputes.
Today she continues to practice in California, balancing the demands of her private practice while maintaining ties to Sacramento Law Group LLP. Her current practice handles tax-related representation and advisory work in matters that arise from financial and administrative disputes.
