About Jhenerr

Jhenerr Hines trained at Stetson University College of Law, where she built a foundation in trial procedure and appellate writing. She left law school prepared for courtroom realities and the paperwork that follows them. The legal education she received emphasized practical skills and ethics, and those themes have followed her through her career.

After law school Hines moved into practice that combined trial work and appellate advocacy. She gained early experience handling filings, motions, and oral arguments. Over time she expanded the scope of the matters she accepts to include complex criminal defense issues and appeals. Colleagues describe her style as deliberate; she takes cases apart methodically and tends to rely on a clear record when pressing legal points.

Hines is admitted to practice in the 11th Circuit and appears in matters that reach the federal appellate level. That admission shapes part of her calendar. Federal appeals work requires careful briefs and attention to deadlines. She has developed routines for preserving issues at trial and translating them into concise appellate arguments. The appellate work complements her courtroom practice; one informs the other.

She maintains leadership roles in local professional groups. Hines serves on the board of the George Edgecomb Bar Association, a community of lawyers that focuses on access and professional development. She also holds a board seat with the Hillsborough County Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Those positions involve governance, member programming, and informal mentorship. Hines has used the roles to stay connected to peers and to help organize continuing-education events for defense attorneys.

Her day-to-day practice involves advising clients, preparing motions, and conducting hearings. She handles pretrial litigation and takes cases through to appeal when warranted. Hines spends time crafting briefs and preparing witnesses for testimony. Outside the courtroom she works with investigators and experts to assemble factual records for trial and for appellate review. She lives and practices in the same community where she serves on local bar boards, and she often appears in state and federal courts on behalf of clients.

Clients and colleagues encounter an attorney who prefers clear argument over flourish. She aims to keep cases straightforward and to preserve legal issues for higher courts when that path makes sense. Hines currently focuses her practice on criminal defense and appellate matters in the federal system.
