About Jessica E
Jessica E Zadjura graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2007 and earned her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2010. Her academic record set the stage for steady work in Maryland courts. She has practiced in the state since completing law school and has built a practice rooted in family law and litigation.
Her legal career began while she was still a student. She worked as a law clerk at the Law Office of Catherine Koester in 2007. After law school she served as a law clerk at ARN Family Law in 2010 and then joined that firm as an associate in 2011. Those early roles gave her regular courtroom exposure and front-line experience handling family law matters.
In 2016 she moved to Cordell Law LLP as an associate. Over the next three years she took on increasingly complex cases and responsibilities. In 2019 she was named lead litigator at Cordell Law LLP and handled contested hearings and trials on behalf of clients. The litigator role expanded her time in court and sharpened her trial skills.
In 2023 she opened her own firm, Zadjura Family Law LLC, where she is listed as lawyer and owner. Establishing her own practice marked a transition from working within larger firms to managing client work and firm operations. Her practice is based in Maryland and addresses the types of family law disputes she has handled throughout her career.
Beyond casework she has been active in local bar groups. She has been a member of the Howard County Bar Association since 2010 and the Howard County Women’s Bar Association since 2011. She served as secretary of the Howard County Women’s Bar Association from 2012 to 2013, then as vice president from 2013 to 2014, president from 2014 to 2015, and immediate past president from 2015 to 2016. She has also been a member of the Maryland Association for Justice since 2011 and joined the Anne Arundel County Bar Association in 2014. From 2015 to 2016 she participated on the Maryland State Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Awards Committee.
Colleagues describe her as a lawyer who combines courtroom experience with steady client management. She has pursued a career that moves from clerkships through firm leadership and now to firm ownership. Zadjura practices in Maryland and currently focuses her work on family law matters at Zadjura Family Law LLC.
