About Jesse S.
Jesse S. Weinstein earned his law degree from American University Washington College of Law in 2015 after completing a Bachelor of Science at Pace University in 2012. He moved from academia into government work almost immediately. The timing of his J.D. and his first legal role placed him at the Bronx County District Attorney's Office in 2015, where he served as an assistant district lawyer early in his career.
Before law school, Weinstein served in the United States Navy as an operations specialist beginning in 2005. That military service features in his professional narrative and shaped his early approach to public service and disciplined case management. After law school and his time in the district attorney's office, he entered private practice and assumed counsel roles that broadened his courtroom experience.
In 2019 he took on two significant roles in private firms. He became a partner at Phillips & Associates, Lawyers at Law, PLLC, and he also joined Arcé Law Group as of counsel. Those positions followed several years of prosecutorial experience and marked his transition into principal roles at small and mid-size law firms. He is also a New York State notary and maintains membership in the State Bar of New York.
Weinstein is licensed to practice in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He also appears in federal court, including the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. That mix of state and federal admissions has allowed him to handle matters that cross jurisdictional lines and to litigate in varied trial settings.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in court preparation and direct in client meetings. He draws on his prosecutorial background when managing trials and hearings, and on his time in operations roles in the Navy when organizing complex caseloads. His career path runs from enlisted service through public prosecution to private practice leadership.
He continues to split his time between roles at Phillips & Associates and Arcé Law Group, and he practices as a state notary in New York. He currently focuses his practice on litigation and trial work in both state and federal courts.
