About Jerry
Jerry Gerritsen’s academic path moves from business into law. He earned a B.S. in Business from the University of Phoenix in 2004, then completed a J.D. at Concord Law School at Purdue University Global in 2009. He returned to the classroom a few years later and took an MBA in Business from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa, finishing that degree in 2013. The mix of business and legal training is a through line in his career.
Before settling into private practice, Gerritsen spent time on the business side of the marketplace. In 2011 he served as CEO of Luxus Luxury Real Estate. That role placed him in the transactional world and gave him direct experience with business operations, client relations and the dealmaking that surrounds higher-end property work. Those years in commerce inform how he approaches client matters today.
Gerritsen moved into a lawyer role at Tabea Law, PC in 2021. His credentials include admission in California and registration that lists all 50 states among his jurisdictions. He holds membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association, a professional organization for attorneys who handle immigration matters.
His background suggests a blend of business sensibility and legal practice. The law degree and immigration association tie him to immigration work professionally. The earlier business and real estate experience gives him context when cases touch on corporate structure, employment, or cross-border transactions. He has practiced in settings that require both courtroom familiarity and client counseling.
Colleagues and clients describe Gerritsen as someone who moves between detail- oriented tasks and broader strategy. He has handled casework and administrative responsibilities at Tabea Law, PC since joining the firm. He also draws on his MBA when evaluating risk and advising clients on options that extend beyond litigation alone.
In private practice he has handled matters that arise at the intersection of immigration and business. He maintains active membership in a national immigration bar group and remains based at Tabea Law, PC. He currently focuses his practice on immigration law at Tabea Law, PC.
