About Jerry D
Jerry D Clinch built his legal foundation at Stetson University College of Law, where he completed his J.D. studies in 2014. His time in law school coincided with intensive coursework and practical training that prepared him for both in-house counsel work and courtroom practice. He moved into practice soon after law school and has practiced law in Nebraska since then.
His early career took him into the corporate side. In 2015 he served as Assistant General Counsel for Credit Management Services, Inc. There he advised on compliance matters, reviewed contracts and worked on regulatory issues common to the credit services industry. That role exposed him to the intersection of consumer finance and regulatory enforcement at a time when the industry faced heightened scrutiny.
He shifted back to private practice in 2019 as an associate at Andrew Hoffman Law PC, LLO. The year after he joined Fillman Law Offices, LLC as an associate. In those positions he handled client representation across a range of civil matters, prepared pleadings, and took part in hearings. In 2021 he moved into public service as a Deputy County Lawyer for York County. In that office he worked on matters affecting local government, advising county officials and representing the county in legal proceedings.
Those varied roles gave Clinch practical experience on multiple sides of the law. He has seen the demands placed on municipal clients and the pressures businesses face in consumer finance disputes. He has experience drafting legal opinions for government officials and counseling in-house teams on contract risk. He has also tried to keep litigation strategy straightforward and focused on achievable outcomes.
Today he practices from Clinch Law Office, LLC. He runs a small firm that handles a mixture of matters derived from his prior posts. His approach is procedural and pragmatic. He aims to clarify options for clients and to match legal steps to their goals.
Colleagues and former clients describe him as steady in court and attentive in counsel sessions. He moves between the detail-oriented work of transactional review and the more public-facing duties of county law practice. That combination shapes how he manages cases and advises clients.
He is admitted to practice in Nebraska and maintains his private practice at Clinch Law Office, LLC, handling county-level matters, civil litigation and consumer credit issues in Nebraska.
