Jerry A — Gambino was a dedicated workers' compensation attorney based in Buffalo, New York. His academic journey began at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Business Management in 1980. This strong educational foundation paved the way for his legal career. In 1983, he obtained his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law, a significant milestone that marked the beginning of his commitment to advocacy for injured workers. After being admitted to the New York State Bar in 1984, Mr. Gambino quickly established himself in the legal community. He was also licensed to practice before the U.S.
District Court for the Western District of New York, expanding his capacity to represent clients in various legal matters. Throughout his career, he focused on workers' compensation cases, representing injured workers across Buffalo, Niagara Falls, and the surrounding counties of Erie, Niagara, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, and Genesee. His extensive knowledge of the law and dedication to his clients allowed him to navigate complex legal challenges effectively. Mr. Gambino was a partner at Cole, Sorrentino, Hurley, Hewner & Gambino, P.C., where he worked tirelessly to secure fair compensation for his clients. In addition to his legal practice, he was an active member of several professional organizations.
His affiliation with the New York State Bar Association included participation in sections such as General Practice, Compensation, Labor Law and Torts, and Insurance and Compensation. Mr. Gambino passed away in early June 2022 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, and their two daughters, Jennifer and Carrie. As a cherished grandfather to Camden and Easton, his family was a significant part of his life. Mr. Gambino's legacy continues through the work of his colleagues at Cole, Sorrentino, Hurley, Hewner & Gambino, P.C., who strive to uphold the high standards he set in workers' compensation law. His contributions to the field and the lives he touched will be remembered for years to come.
