About Jerry Andrew Meehan
Jerry Andrew Meehan Jr. earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of South Carolina in 2005. He continued his legal education at Charleston School of Law and received his J.D. in 2014. A few years later he attended the Trial Lawyers College in 2017, where he completed intensive trial training that he has since used in courtroom work.
After law school he became active in the South Carolina legal community. He has been a member of the South Carolina Bar since 2015 and joined the Dorchester County Bar Association the same year. His participation in local bar groups grew to include the Charleston County Bar Association beginning in 2016. He is also a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice and has held membership in MENSA since 2011.
Meehan is licensed to practice in South Carolina and in the U.S. District Court for South Carolina. Those admissions allow him to handle matters in both state and federal court. The Trial Lawyers College experience in 2017 reinforced his orientation toward courtroom advocacy and evidence presentation, skills he has continued to use when cases proceed to trial.
He practices at Crantford Meehan, Lawyers at Law, LLC., where his work centers on client representation in adversarial settings. At the firm he handles litigation matters that require preparation for hearings, depositions and trials. His memberships in county and state bar organizations connect him to peers across the state and provide forums for continuing legal education and professional collaboration.
Colleagues describe his approach as methodical and detail-oriented; clients see an attorney who prepares cases for court and seeks practical resolution when appropriate. His training, bar admissions and local bar involvement have shaped a practice that regularly engages with courtroom procedure and trial readiness. He concentrates on trial litigation in state and federal courts.
