About Jeremy T.

Jeremy T. Pruitt built his path to the law in a mix of classrooms and courtrooms. He earned a B.S. in Political Science and Legal Studies from Murray State University and then took his legal training at Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. Those years set up a steady progression from internships to full-time practice.

While still a law student and shortly after, Pruitt spent time in a range of public and private settings. His earliest recorded legal work was as a clerk and intern at the Law Office of Rick Jones in 2012. He later returned to a clerk role at Gatlin Voelker, PLLC in 2016 and went on to join that firm as an attorney in 2018. Between those stints he completed internships with the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy in both 2016 and 2017, gaining exposure to public defense work and courtroom procedure.

Pruitt’s move into private practice continued in 2019 when he worked at Jones Pruitt Law. The following year he opened Pruitt Law, PLLC. That step shifted him from associate roles to the responsibilities of running a practice. It also expanded the matters he handles and the clients he serves across the region.

He is admitted to practice in Kentucky and is also authorized to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. Locally, he has taken on bar leadership work; he currently serves as president of the Calloway County Bar Association. Those roles reflect a mix of courtroom work and bar involvement rather than academic or regulatory positions.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and direct in court. His practical background includes both defense-related internships and private firm experience, which inform how he approaches client matters and case strategy. He has handled matters at different stages of litigation and has experience managing the administrative side of a small firm.

Pruitt continues to operate from Pruitt Law, PLLC, where he combines courtroom time and client counseling. He concentrates on representing clients in Kentucky state courts and in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
