About Jeremy T.
Jeremy T. Cranford took an uncommon route from the Midwest to Florida law schools and back again to practice. He began in Springfield, Missouri-area classrooms before earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Missouri State University in 2006. He stayed in the state to study law at the University of Missouri–Columbia, receiving a J.D. in 2009, and then pursued an LL.M. in Real Estate Law at the University of Miami School of Law, completed in 2010.
His early legal training mixed court work, public service and private practice. While at Missouri, he served as a research assistant and contributed to the Missouri Law Review. He worked in judicial chambers for the Court of Appeals of Missouri, Southern District, and held summer clerkships in the Missouri Attorney General’s Office and at private firms. That practical exposure continued during his LL.M. studies in Miami, where he spent semesters clerking at Brigham Moore and then at Holland & Knight as a fall law clerk.
Cranford moved into private practice after completing his degrees. He started Cranford Legal, LLC, and later joined firms including Ward & Ketchersid, P.A., and Schenewerk & Finkenbinder, Lawyers at Law, LLC. Over the years he returned to his own practice and now operates from Cranford Law, PL. His record includes periods of recognized board certification in real estate law tied to his Florida practice, reflecting credentialing by The Florida Bar.
He holds several court and bar credentials. The Supreme Court of Florida has certified him as a mediator and qualified him as an arbitrator. The Florida Bar lists him as a board certified specialist in Real Estate Law. He maintains memberships in The Missouri Bar, where his association goes back to 2009, and has held an inactive membership in The Kansas Bar since 2011.
Cranford’s committee work within The Florida Bar is substantial. He has served on multiple Real Property, Probate & Trust Section committees since 2019, including panels on title issues, condominium and planned development, and real property litigation. He has handled publications and liaison duties for study and title committees and was named co-vice chair of the Homestead Issues Committee in 2022. He has also taken leadership roles on the Title Insurance & Industry Liaison Committee.
Colleagues and clients look to him for matters that touch title insurance, property disputes, condominium governance and homestead issues. He also accepts mediation and arbitration matters under Florida Supreme Court certifications. He practices at Cranford Law, PL, concentrating on real property and related dispute resolution work.
