About Jeremy

Jeremy Snyder earned a B.A. in Political Science from Lee University in 2004 and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2007. He entered the legal profession after law school and built a career inside the military justice system. His education prepared him for work that blends courtroom experience with the peculiar demands of military procedure.

Snyder joined the United States Air Force JAG Corps soon after receiving his law degree. He served as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate beginning in 2009, moving into the role of Area Defense Counsel in 2011. Those early years placed him in position to handle court-martial defense and counsel service members on a range of disciplinary and administrative matters. In 2013 he became Senior Trial Counsel in the Special Victims Unit, a post that added significant prosecutorial and case-management responsibilities.

He continued advancing through a mix of trial and advisory roles. In 2015 he attended The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School as an LL.M. student. The following year he served as Staff Judge Advocate in the Office of Military Cooperation in Kuwait, advising commanders and coordinating legal support in a multinational environment. By 2018 he was Chief Circuit Defense Counsel for the European Circuit, overseeing defense operations across a broad geographic area. In 2020 he served as Deputy Staff Judge Advocate, a senior advisory position within the Air Force legal community.

In 2022 Snyder left active duty and opened a private practice offering military law services. His background includes both defense and prosecution at court-martial, staff judge advocate duties, and work in overseas and joint operational settings. That range gives him experience in evidentiary issues, pretrial negotiations, administrative separations, and counsel responsibilities on sensitive victim-related cases. He has handled matters that require quick legal assessment and navigation of service regulations and military rules of evidence.

Colleagues describe his approach to cases as methodical and fact-driven. He balances tactical courtroom work with written advocacy and advisory memoranda. He has advised commanders on discipline and operational law issues, and represented service members facing a variety of charges.

Snyder is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. He operates a private military law practice and handles cases for service members and veterans in military justice and related administrative matters.
