About Jeremy M.
Jeremy M. Nicholas built a steady career around estate planning and probate law. He is known in central Ohio legal circles for a measured approach to complex personal and fiduciary matters. His work combines courtroom experience, transactional drafting and a long record of involvement in specialty bar activities.
Nicholas earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2007 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Ohio State University in 2004. The academic path trained him in both critical analysis and the practical work of legal problem solving. Those skills show up in files that require careful drafting and close attention to statutory detail.
He began practicing as a solo attorney in 2008 under the Law Office of Jeremy M. Nicholas. That early- practice period covered a range of estate, trust and probate matters, client counseling, and estate administration. In 2011 he joined Hardgrove Nicholas, Co, LPA. At that firm he expanded his practice and worked alongside colleagues on more complex fiduciary disputes and planning projects.
Nicholas holds certification as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law from the Ohio State Bar Association. That credential indicates additional study and peer review within the specialty section. He also serves as Chairman of the Specialty Board for the Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law Section of the Ohio State Bar Association, a role that involves evaluation of standards for the specialty and oversight of certification processes.
Outside the bar, he has taken on leadership roles in local and regional organizations. He is a member of Wealth Counsel, LLC, and the Columbus Bar Association. He belongs to the Tri-County Estate Planning Council, where he has served as president, and to the Ohio Forum of Estate Planning Lawyers, where he has been treasurer. Those memberships provide regular forums for continuing education and peer exchange on evolving trust and estate topics.
Colleagues and clients describe his courtroom work as deliberate and his transactional practice as thorough. He handles estate planning documents, trust administrations, probate proceedings and related litigation. He is licensed to practice in both Ohio and Pennsylvania and continues to serve clients from the firm office. He currently practices at Hardgrove Nicholas, Co, LPA, handling estate planning, trust and probate matters.
