Jeremy Joseph Sugerman is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1990 and holds bar number 146315. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Sugerman is a partner at Gordon-Creed, Kelley, Holl & Sugerman, LLP, a law firm located in San Francisco, California. He has been practicing law for over 35 years, serving clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
Mr. Sugerman earned his Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School, where he graduated in 1989. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Vassar College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1984. During his time at George Washington University, he was recognized for his academic achievements and graduated with honors.
Mr. Sugerman concentrates his practice in the areas of business litigation, appellate law, and intellectual property. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving business contracts, business dissolution, business finance, business formation, business litigation, franchising, mergers and acquisitions, partnership and shareholder disputes, and insurance claims. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Sugerman has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Francisco, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining Gordon-Creed, Kelley, Holl & Sugerman, LLP, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in San Francisco for several years.
Mr. Sugerman is an active member of the California State Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco. He serves as the Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco's Attorney/Client Fee Disputes Executive Committee. He is also a certified mediator through the San Francisco Superior Court's Early Settlement Program. Mr. Sugerman is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of Spanish, allowing him to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
