Earlier in her career, Huang had the opportunity to clerk for Judge Michael Davis of the U.S. District Court, as well as for Judges Esther Tomljanovich and Sandra Gardebring of the Supreme Court of Minnesota. These clerkships provided her with invaluable insights into the judicial process and the details of legal reasoning. In addition to her practice, Huang contributes to the legal community as an adjunct professor of law at Golden Gate University School of Law. Her role as an educator allows her to share her extensive knowledge and experience with the next generation of legal professionals. Huang has been recognized by Super Lawyers from 2020 to 2026, highlighting her expertise and dedication to her field.

This recognition shows her commitment to excellence in legal practice and her impact on civil rights law. Huang is an active member of both the California State Bar and the New York State Bar.
