About Jenny Cheatham

Jenny Cheatham Fell built her path to the law through a blend of liberal arts study and professional legal training. She graduated from Centre College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies after beginning her undergraduate work in 2000. She went on to study law at the University of Louisville, completing her J.D. in 2010 after beginning law school in 2007.

Those academic years shaped her approach to legal work. At Centre College she studied political systems and cross-border issues. Law school brought intensive work in legal research, writing and courtroom procedure. Classrooms and clinics gave her the tools to move from theory to practice.

After earning her degree, Fell entered private practice. Over the years she has taken on the routine and the complex tasks that a modern law practice requires. She prepares pleadings, counsels clients on their options, conducts discovery and appears in hearings. She also spends significant time on legal research and drafting—core activities that drive outcomes for clients.

Her career has included collaboration with colleagues and outside professionals. She often coordinates with experts and opposing counsel, and she has managed cases through multiple stages. She approaches each file by assessing immediate needs, identifying relevant law, and mapping practical next steps. Peers describe her work as thorough and grounded in careful analysis.

Outside of case work, Fell’s background in international studies informs how she frames problems that involve multiple jurisdictions or policy contexts. That early academic focus contributes to a wider view of how legal issues intersect with cultural and governmental systems. It also gives her a habit of looking beyond a single statute when seeking solutions.

Fell currently practices at Bahe Cook Cantley & Nefzger, PLC. At the firm she handles client matters across the typical range of tasks performed by litigators and transactional lawyers. Her daily work blends courtroom advocacy, negotiation and client counseling, and she spends substantial time preparing written legal work product.

Colleagues and clients can expect a steady, methodical approach to legal problems. Fell’s professional record reflects sustained practice since law school. She currently serves clients through Bahe Cook Cantley & Nefzger, PLC, where she handles matters for the firm’s clients.
