About Jennifer

Jennifer Setters earned her law degree from the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law, completing her J.D. in 2013 after beginning studies in 2010. She entered a rigorous program known for its emphasis on Nevada practice and emerged prepared for courtroom work and counseling clients. Her academic record placed her among a generation of lawyers who stayed in Nevada to build local careers.

After law school, Setters took the steps necessary to practice in Nevada and now holds a license to practice in that jurisdiction. She has maintained professional memberships through her career, which keep her connected to colleagues and developments in state law. Those connections have informed how she approaches client work—practical, grounded, and informed by local procedure.

Her early years in practice involved the kinds of casework that many Nevada attorneys encounter. She learned to manage filings, draft pleadings and motions, and handle client meetings. Over time she added courtroom experience and honed the skills needed to present arguments to judges and opposing counsel. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparation and clear in written work.

Setters’s move to Gastelum Lawyers placed her within a firm setting where collaboration matters. At the firm she works alongside other attorneys on matters that arise under Nevada law. Her role requires balancing client communication, legal research, and courtroom tasks. She has been part of teams that handled complex procedural calendars and negotiated resolutions for clients.

Outside the office she participates in professional activities and maintains current memberships in local legal organizations. That involvement helps her stay current on procedural changes and shifts in Nevada jurisprudence. It also gives her access to a network of practitioners who exchange practical insights about state courts and administrative processes.

Today she is a practicing attorney at Gastelum Lawyers. Her work centers on legal matters arising under Nevada law, and she continues to practice in Nevada courts and administrative forums.
