About Jennifer S
Jennifer S Taylor began her path to law after completing a bachelor's degree in history at the University of Alabama in 2011. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Birmingham School of Law, graduating in 2016. Those years of study framed an interest in legal matters that touch families and older adults.
After law school, Taylor joined the Birmingham legal community. She became a member of the Birmingham Bar Association in 2017 and has maintained active ties there. She also holds membership in the Alabama State Bar and practices under Alabama rules and procedures.
In 2018 she took a position as an associate lawyer at Nolan Elder Law and Estate Planning, LLC. Her role there placed her squarely in practice areas common to elder law and estate planning. She worked on drafting estate planning documents and handled matters that arise when families plan for incapacity or the transfer of assets across generations.
Her everyday tasks have included preparing wills and trusts, advising clients on probate procedures, and assisting with guardianship matters. She also helps clients and their families understand public benefits that intersect with long-term care, including Medicaid eligibility issues. The work requires both careful attention to legal detail and the ability to explain options to people at a stressful time.
Colleagues who have worked with her describe a lawyer who prioritizes clear communication. She spends time reviewing documents line by line and walking clients through what each provision means. She appears regularly in local practice settings where estate plans and elder-law problems are addressed, rather than in high-profile litigation.
Outside of client work, Taylor's bar memberships keep her connected to developments in Alabama law. Participation in professional groups in Birmingham has informed her practice and offered a local network for referrals and continuing education. Those relationships also give her a quick read on changes to probate rules or Medicaid planning guidance.
She continues to practice in Alabama and works at Nolan Elder Law and Estate Planning, LLC. Her current practice focuses on elder law and estate planning matters, helping clients prepare documents, manage probate, and navigate benefits for long-term care.
