Jennifer R — Pope has been practicing law in Jacksonville, North Carolina, since 1988. She grew up in Jacksonville and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1985. She continued her studies at UNC Chapel Hill School of Law, graduating in 1988. After law school, she began her legal career with Ellis, Hooper, Warlick, Waters, and Morgan, focusing on general practice. In 1992, she joined Frank Pope and her brother, Gordon Robinson Jr., to form Robinson, Pope, and Pope. In 1997, she shifted her focus to family law, working with Lana Warlick and Amy Jordan, and practiced primarily in family and divorce law for over eight years.
In 2005, Jennifer and Amy Jordan formed a partnership, continuing their practice together until Amy's untimely death in 2012. Jennifer continues to serve the firm's clients with compassion and determination, as Amy would have wanted. She has been active in the Jacksonville community, becoming one of the first female professionals to join the Jacksonville Jaycees and the Jacksonville Rotary Club in the early 1990s. She has served on local and regional committees to select future Morehead Scholars. She was the president of the Onslow County Bar Association from 2006-2007 and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Onslow County Bar Association. Jennifer's practice areas include divorce, child custody, separation agreements, child support, equitable distribution, alimony, post-separation support, contempt, mediations, domestic violence, annulments, and trials.
